It is Navigation Behavioral Consulting’s mission to provide customized services to each client, leading to meaningful and lasting behavior change.
Navigation Behavioral Consulting was established in 2009, co-founded by Megan Miller PhD, BCBA-D, LBA and Laura Stacey M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, to provide individualized and effective ABA intervention to families and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Navigation Behavioral Consulting’s program philosophy is based on a simple set of principles:
We realize that every client is unique and requires individualized services. Programming for each child capitalizes on the child’s strengths and interests to teach identified skill deficits. Our team collaborates closely with families and clients to determine what skills are to be learned, and individualizes these goals based on the child’s current skill set, their interests, and identified areas of need.
Navigation Behavioral Consulting understands that all families have daily challenges and we recognize that implementing behavioral principles with your child isn’t always easy. We collaborate with you to offer guidance and support. Prior to implementing programming for each child, our team works with your family to develop a plan that your family can feel confident implementing with your child in their environment.
Clinical quality is imperative to providing effective services for your child, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence. Our clinicians refer to all relevant research when developing each child’s programming and stay current on the latest literature regarding autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and behavior analysis by attending and presenting at conferences throughout the year. As a client of Navigation Behavioral Consulting, you can be assured you are receiving programming developed from the latest research and proven effective methods.
Children make larger gains when they are interested and actively engaged in what they are doing. Our provider works with the child’s motivation and within the child’s natural environment to encourage and motivate positive outcomes. Our provider also works with the family to assist them in supporting the progress their child is making. When ABA therapy is successful, the progress should improve the lives of the entire family.
ABA intervention services are only effective if the team of providers are reliable. In order to provide the best possible intervention, initial plans and programming for your child are developed in as timely a manner as possible. Once a child’s programming is in place, frequent updates and changes are made based on the data and the level of the progress. Our providers make themselves available to families to answer any questions throughout the course of treatment.
